On April 23rd, Nicolas Constantinesco returned to RCC to deliver an advanced workshop following his earlier case interview workshop. The workshop continued with more specific training for those who have practiced more than 15-20 cases, and featured a smaller select group of RCC members. The workshop involved a combination of lecture, case practice, analysis, q&a, and industry tips from Nicolas’ many years of consulting experience.
Constantinesco worked for McKinsey & Company for 8 years working on a wide range of corporate finance, strategy and operations engagements. He later joined KPMG where he co-founded and built the Operations Strategy Group, a team of 40 management consultants. At both McKinsey and KPMG, Nicolas focused on the recruitment process and professional development. He now trains and coaches students to get into the most prestigious consulting firms.

On April 16th a group of 27 RCC members visited the KPMG office in Rotterdam to learn more about the company’s IT / digital strategy consulting practice, meet internal consultants, and solve a case. The event began with a presentation on KPMG and the three company representatives plus the recruiter present discussed opportunities within the firm. The presentation had an interactive digital element by which the winners of a digital IQ type test were awarded prizes by KPMG. A pizza dinner provided by KPMG was followed by prearranged teams of 5-6 members breaking out to solve a case. The fast paced environment proved challenging, but feedback for all the teams. Following the presentations, members and consultants engaged in an informal networking drink.
