To celebrate our successful trainings and consulting project, we had a full club meeting and social dinner. Some of our members are still diligently preparing for case interviews in our trainings, others are already in application processes, and some already found a job. We are proud of all of them, and wish them a lot of success for the last months of their Master’s degree!
Our bi-weekly case interview sessions (CIS) are helping ambitious RSM students prepare for their first job interviews. So far we discussed topics such as pricing, entering a new market, profit and loss, and growth strategies. After a short presentation, participating club members and non-members can ask questions and challenge the presented systems and frameworks. Afterwards they jump right into cracking mock-case interviews. This interview training gives students the needed exercise to go confident into consulting interviews and shine with expertise in solving complex issues!
This semester we have three more sessions planned:
20th April – Business Cases
4th May – Mergers and acquisitions
24th May – Complex Cases
If you are interested in joining one of our trainings, please follow us on facebook. We post the trainings as events in which you can find all the necessary information.
Beginning of March we held a workshop with a focus on soft skills. First Derhen showed how to optimize your linkedin profile and gave tips on using the platfirm to find your future career. Then Anna and the other board members gave tips on how to create the perfect CV. Picture yes or no? One or two pages? Including hobbies or not? – were just a few questions which were discussed during this workshop.
In the third workshop Saphir showed how to pitch your life in three minutes to recruiters, using the STAR or PARADE method. How can you best show your leadership and conflict resolution skills to the interviewers? – In a convincing story! The participants then practiced PEI (personal experience interviews) together.
For the ending of the event we had a special guest – Patricia Kramer, a practicing consultant who gave insights into her career choices, how she got her job and what her daily worklife it.

On Monday, 13th February 2017, founder of Florisj, Jeroen Roffel, gave a very interesting guest lecture on Start-Up consulting for RCC. Jeroen shared his insights from working for various start-ups and investors in the US and Europe, supporting them in their strategy and day-to-day operations. As a consultant, he provided investors with information and analysis about industries in which they considered investing.
After the lecture, RCC consultants solved cases related to business development, start-up growth and start-up investment decisions. We enjoyed getting this new view on consulting and learned a lot about the start-up business.
On 21 February, the final presentation of our consulting project was held in the high-tech incubator Yes!Delft. There, Shake-On, our project partner, is located together with 70 other innovative start-ups.
Three of our ambitious RCC consultants, Petra Strnadova, Jakub Markiewicz and Athanasios Tsaperlis presented on behalf of the entire team (8 consultants in total) recommendations about future growth and internationalization strategies for Shake-On.
We really enjoyed working together with such a striving young company and we are proud of our future consultants for mastering this project and providing valuable recommendations for their client!
All RCC consultants: Petra Strnadova, Jakub Markiewicz, Athanasios Tsaperlis, Julia Heisig, Sonja Kessler, Stefan Owczarzak, Sten te Vogt, and Beatriz Oliviera
